Halloween 2010 Day 2

Second Day of Halloween 2010 was more fun as Andrea was able to meet The Backyardigans. The mall was full of people. Kids can go trick or treat in every store but we didn't do that because we don't want anymore candies (lol). We brought Andrea to the toy store again and she had a blast with the toys especially the remote control car. Well, we decided to buy her one (hahaha suckers!)

Here's a collage of what our second day of Halloween! Andrea was dressed as Princess!

Halloween at the Mall

As I have mentioned, we didn't continue trick or treating instead we went to the mall. It was already chilly so I had to put an undershirt long sleeves for Andrea's costume. Despite the fact that it was chilly, it didn't stop Andrea from having a great time.

She counted all the lamp posts (that has series lights on them) and played with the animals near the food court.

Mall was definitely more fun for Andrea... and for me too as I have scouted what store to shop next time! ( I am coming back to shop at the Guess outlet store!)

Halloween 2010 Day 1

Some places in our area celebrated Halloween yesterday. So, off we went to my Mom Lori and Dan's place as it is a yearly tradition to celebrate Halloween with them. This is Andrea's 3rd Halloween and she seems excited. She even took a nap because I told her that we will go trick or treat late in the afternoon.
This picture is taken inside Mom's house. She couldn't wait to get out and start Trick or Treat

So, off we go to trick and treat. Andrea is still excited about it...
The trick or treat thing didn't go very well. She got so shy and wouldn't even say trick or treat. She was happy to get her candies though!
This is what she got....
We have decided not to continue trick or treating, instead we went to the newly open mall near our place. Andrea had a blast and it made her halloween very special.

(Watch out for the mall adventure in my next blog entry)

Halloween... Boo!

Have a fun Halloween celebration everyone! Enjoy trick-or-treating and other costume parties!

Pumpkin Carving

I have never carved a pumpkin in my whole life. Finally we decided to do it. I was surprise how much I enjoy making my first carved pumpkin.

We wanted to do it as a family but Andrea decided that it is too much work for her. I ended up doing most of it because I really wanted to. Dave helped me do it. He helped me scrape the insides of the pumpkin. I did most of the carving and I am proud of the result.

Trying so hard to be artistic....

Proudly showing the carved pumpkin...

The lighted pumpkin.... Not bad for a first timer!

Andrea enjoyed looking at the cat pumpkin. She just get involved after we were done with the pumpkin carving which was really good as to avoid more mess. I hope that next year she will be more interested with us doing pumpkin carving.

Healthy Treats

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of TrickOrTreatMe. All opinions are 100% mine.

----------

Yes, time flew so fast... Halloween is over and we are now looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Even if Halloween is over, giving treats to our kids is a year-long activity. I do give treats to my little one, but I make sure that she gets healthy stuff. I am very lucky in this sense because my little girl likes to eat healthy... fruits, vegetables and yes she likes to drink milk.

The Trick or Treat Me campaign has been very successful during the Halloween season. Many people has been informed and educated about the milk box carton. The milk in shelf stable Tetra Pak cartons make a great choice for a healthy treat last Halloween. Personally, I will try to continue giving my daughter with this healthy treat as this is very convenient especially if we are traveling.

The Twick or Tweet Me in twitter have enabled Tetra Pak to donate to World Wildlife Fund with each click made by tweeters. It was a great campaign and it was for a good cause.

Halloween may be over, but let us continue giving our little ones with healthy treats. Remember that the milk in tetra pack carton is an easy way to provide convenient, on-the-go nutrition, as well as more calcium, to your kids’ diets.

Our Halloween Adventure

This is the first Halloween that I decided to dress up just for fun...

I got a few pictures for ya'll to see...

We don't really go trick or treating because Andrea is too young to go house to house for trick or treat. Besides, she does not eat a lot of candies. We let her eat some MandM's. When we went to The Whole Foods Market, she receive a treat (a lollipop) and when we went to Scholtzsky's she received some tootsie roll which I end up eating...lol

Feast your eyes with the "HOT" witch and the midnight bat little girl....

Yesss... that's me ... the witch!

I think she is thinking that she can have the candies...lol

Give Something Healthy on Halloween

I can't believe it is already October! It seems like the days went by so quick that I haven't noticed them. I am not complaining though, as October is a fun month! There is so much to look forward to during the last quarter of the year.... there's Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! During all these occasions I am sure there will be lavish treats for kids and adults too!

Sometimes, it bugs me to think of all those "junky" stuff that kids will get during Halloween. I know it is a tradition here in the USA (or perhaps in other countries too) to go trick or treat during Halloween. I wish people will be more conscious on their treats. I hope they will give something healthy to the kids instead of those usual candies and chocolates. A good substitute for those will be a milk in cartoon, this treat is nutritious, convenient and it helps add calcium to the kids' diet.

I am supporting the Trick Or Treat Me program this Halloween. I won't be giving away candies this time, but instead I will be giving away healthy treats. I found some great and healthy trick and treat ideas from Trick or Treat Me Blog.

Halloween is for fun! Let the fun begin by sending Halloween tweet to all your friends. Let them know if they deserve a twick or a treat. Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter is a fun tweeting game with your friends and it is for a good cause. On every tweet that you will send, Tetra Pak will make a 10¢ donation to World Wildlife Fund. You can also play the "milk box" campaign at (http://www.trickortreatmeblog.com/). It’s fun, it’s silly and every time you play, a donation will also be given to World Wildlife Fund.

Healthy Trick or Treat

Halloween is around the corner. If you go to any store, you will notice that Halloween costumes and other Halloween stuffs are already displayed. Keeping our kids healthy during this Halloween can be a struggle. During trick and treating the most common treat people give to the kids are chocolates and candies. These are unhealthy treats. For a healthy Halloween treat, Milk in shelf stable Tetra Pak cartons is a great choice.

Kids can be healthy and still enjoy Halloween. If you want to learn healthy living tips during Halloween you can visit Trick Or Treat Me Blog. You can also play the "milk box" campaign at (http://www.trickortreatmeblog.com/). It’s fun, it’s silly and it’s for a good cause because every time you play, a donation will be given to World Wildlife Fund.

Anyway, are you ready to have some fun with twick or tweet? Please check Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter. Send a Halloween tweet to someone that deserves a trick or treat. On every tweet that you will send, Tetra Pak will make a 10¢ donation to World Wildlife Fund.

Halloween Costume

I can't believe that August is almost over. Time indeed flies so fast. Before we all know it, October will be here and of course Halloween too!

We are getting excited about Halloween this year since Andrea is already old enough to understand some. I remember that last year she wore a cute witch outfit. I have to think of another outfit that will look well on her for this year's Halloween. Anyway, we were thinking of dressing up too! This will be the first Halloween that I will be dressing up... sounds exciting huh?

I found a great outfit that is very trendy at better half. I hope it will not be too cold on Halloween because if I wear this outfit, I will surely catch some colds!

Here's the outfit that I want to buy.... what do you think?

Halloween Costumes

One of my shopping secrets is to buy early so that products are on sale. I admit, I am a bargain hunter.

I know that Halloween is still 8 months away, but I am now looking and shopping for Halloween Costumes. This will be Andrea's 2nd Halloween and I want all of us to dress up for this event. This will be the first ever halloween that I will be dressing up, so I want it to be very memorable.

I want to wear Sexy Halloween Costumes. I will be wearing Adult Midnight Fairy Costume. I think that this custome is perfect for me. Of course, I have to look for the perfect match of my outfit for Dave to wear. Amazingly, Costume Hub has a wide selection of Adult Costumes and I was able to find a good deal for Dave's outfit. As for Andrea's outfit, she will be wearing angel costume.

I am now set for halloween. I couldn't wait anymore. I feel like I am a kid who is very excited and counting the days to come.
