I don't watch horror movies but there are movies that I love that has fear in it. These movies always make my feet cold and teeth grind of anticipation.
My list:
1. Signs - One of Night Shyamalan's best work. It is a story about a family living on a farm who finds mysterious crop circles in their fields which suggests something more frightening to come.
2. The Sixth Sense - I love it! I especially like the line " I see dead people". Very interesting... and a MUST see if you haven't seen it. Another Night Shyamalan's movie.
3. The Silence of the Lambs - Dr. Lecter - brilliant, cunning and psychotic who is played by Anthony Hopkins which is perfect for the role ... his voice alone is so chilling... I love the line " Hello Clarice!"
3a. Hannibal - The sequel of The Silence of the Lambs
3b. Red Dragon - This is the prequel. I just love this series of Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
4. Jaws - this movie makes me wonder what if there's a shark when I am in the water.
5. Seven - very good movie with a powerful cast.

I will recommend a series pala..have you seen "The Saw"..naku if you haven't panoorin mo sis..when I watched it halos konti lang na part ang napanood ko cge lang ko tabon sa akong mata..
sos woi...ang adik sa movies lagi oh...woi mami Lu, pwede naka magtukod ug rental movies sa pinas...am sure daghan jud imo masapi ani....hehehehe!
nag movie marathon pod me kaganiha ni hubby...maong late na ang pag update sa blog....karon lang jud ko nakabalik...hay buhay....musta inyong weekend? asa man mo nag wara wara? nag shopping nasad ka no? hehehehe! agi ko dre before hitting the hay....:)

I love "fear" movies but my top 2 aren't on your list. I love 'the ring' and 'skeleton key'!

Signs I did not give much attention to but The Sixth Sense really caught me off guard. Great surprise there.

I agree with all of your choices - creepy scary is just as bad, if not worse, than gory scary.
