Acne is one of the most widespread condition in the whole world. Despite being widespread, there is still no cure for acne. The good thing though is, acne is treatable.

There are several causes of acne. One of the causes is the hormones. It is evident that adolescents are affected with acne because of hormonal change. Another problem that one faces when having an acne is the Hyperpimentation. Hyperpigmentation is the most common complaint among people of color who suffer from acne. For people like myself who belongs to the Asian race, the probability of having hyperpigmentation is big because of the amount of melanin that is present in our skin. It is important that people with darker skin will avoid picking, squeezing, or otherwise irritating acne blemishes because darker skin is prone to develop keloid scars.

Acne shouldn't affect the self-esteem of any individual because there are a lot of options in treating your acne or your hyperpigmentation.
