Tomato

One of our favorite tomato dishes is the fried green tomato. I never had a fried green tomato in the Philippines, but here in Alabama, it is one of the specialty dishes.

Buying tomato in the grocery is always pricey. Since last year, we decided to grow our own tomatoes. We have our little garden at Mom's where we grow some flowers and vegetables.

For this year, we will "go organic". We will be using organic products for our garden for a healthier environment. Organic products will also be beneficial for our health. We will buy the organic tomato growing kit .
The kit includes:
(1) 24 oz. RTU bottle of Safer® Brand Tomato & Vegetable Insect Killer
(3) EZ Step™ Anchors
(6) 36" Plant Stakes
(9) Expandable Connectors
(3) Stake Extension Links

We had a hard time staking our tomatoes last year (as you can see in the picture). This time, I am very glad that the organic tomato growing kit includes plant stakes. The Stake it Easy is designed to adequately support each growing branch as the plant grows. It is very easy to assemble, just snap together. You can even adjust the height as the plant grows.
The insect killer that is also included in the kit is OMRI listed for organic gardening. This will help control tomato pests without contaminating the crops with harmful chemicals.
