Our Chrismas in the USA

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

I must admit, every Christmas, I long for a traditional Christmas celebration with my biological family.  We used to attend midnight mass together and come home to a lot of food and family fun.  It is different here in the USA.  It is not as festive as it is in the Philippines.  I am learning to adapt though.  Our Christmas here in the USA is very simple.  We go see my mother-in-law early in the morning to open presents from Santa.  We will have Christmas dinner together as family.  My mom always make sure to have a center piece Christmas candle in a candle holder during our dinner.  This adds Christmas spirit in our dinner.

Christmas is a time for gift giving.  I do spend quite an amount of money buying holiday gifts for families and friends.  I especially spend more for my daughter.  I don't necessarily buy expensive things for my daughter as she is just 3 years old.  I already found perfect stocking stuffers at Pier 1 Imports for my daughter's Christmas stocking. They have yellow duckie bubbles, safari bath puff, glitter bouncing balls and more.  Besides doing online shopping, I also go to store to shop for gifts and I make sure to give cash donation at the cash register for Toys for Tots.  Did you know that during the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register?  Yes you can spread the joy of Christmas by doing so.  You can also help by liking Pier 1 Imports on Facebook.  For every fan that they will get, they will donate $1 to Toys for Tots.
