- Never take a hot shower. The temperature of the shower should be lukewarm. Superhot water dries out the skin.
- Use hypoallergenic products. If your skin gets irritated at the drop of a hat, using hypoallergenic products is good for you because they have fewer dyes and perfumes than regular formulas.
- Limit your exfoliation. Exfoliate your face and body once a week only. Your skin could turn red or break out if you do it more than once a week.
- Apply body wash and scrubs with your hands. Avoid using abrasive washcloths, loofahs, or sponges.
