I know how costly it is when you have a premature baby. Andrea was a premature baby. She was born 4lbs 12oz at 34 weeks. She spent almost 2 months in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Thank God we have insurance that covered most of the costs. If not for the insurance I don't know where we will get hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay the bill. Yes! the bill was hundreds of thousands! When I saw our bill I was in the state of "shock"... I was like holy cow!!!!
Thankfully Andrea grow up to be a healthy baby. You really can't see that she was premature. Althought at first Andrea needed a lot of care because of her health conditions but now she is just like any ordinary baby.

Hello Mommy Lu...you don't know we have exactly the same situation with my daughter Akesha....I know how devastated those times...am glad GOD is always there....Akesha was born 7 weeks early...she was 3.11lbs....and stayed in the NICU for 5 weeks....my goodness we thought d sya para samin...iyakan kami ni hubby those days...what a relief ano?!
I know it is very costly...ours was like 250+k....and we don't pay any dime for the expenses...which is very pleasant...kasi pag hindi nako...san kaya kami mamulot ng ganong pera...hehhehe!
You're right..my daughter as well...she's just an ordinary baby...infact, she will turn 3 next month..no complications or anything...she's just natural like any other kids...:)

Mommy Dhemz, ay grabe our bill was almost 300K more or less only 85% ang covered sa insurance. Imagine that! aguy makagama na ug mansion sa pinas for sure!
Besides being premature Andrea has reflux and apnea. When she went home she has a machine attached to her chest to check if ni breath ba sya or taas ba iya heart rate.
Andrea is 15months now. Super active and very hyper ako lagi ingnon ako bana nga maybe ang gi transfuse nga blood kay andrea dugo ug tiger! Her blood type is AB. Saon lagi ni aho anak nga mahalon!
marami na ngayon ang premature at 99.9% naman ay naaagapan ng Neonatal Intensive care. naging normal baby as like a full term baby normal
