Candy canes: the ultimate Christmas tradition

One of the things that is important to me about the Christmas season is the treats that only come around during this time of year. This may seem like something silly to say, but it is the truth. One in particular that I like is the candy cane. It is just nice because it is something that you really don't see much of during the rest of the year. I think its unique shape and color system really make me appreciate it.

I probably wouldn't have been thinking about it at all if I had not just seen a commercial for it on my DirectTV. I tell you, they are getting better and better at advertising to you in a way that makes you want to run out and buy whatever it is that they are pitching. I know that the moment I saw the advertisement for the candy cane I started up the car and went to the nearest store. It had less to do with wanting to eat the candy and more to do with just wanting to have it around. As it turns out, they make for great decoration as well.
