Dining @ Romano's Macaroni Grill

Mischa and I wanted to dine at Olive Garden. Dave is not a big fan of Olive Garden but for the sake of the "queens" he brought us there but I guess he was lucky because Olive Garden was very full and people were waiting outside. We all agree that we don't want to wait that long. We ended up going to Romano's Macaroni Grill. The place was not packed surprisingly.

Mischa and I both ordered Alfredo Fettuccine (mine was with shrimp, hers was with chicken). Dave ordered a grilled steak. While waiting for our orders we were served with a very tasty bread with Olive oil and pepper for dipping.

The food was excellent. Dave's steak was the best ever! Our fettuccine was really good. Of course, we had our to go boxes as usual. Our server was very nice. He even gave Andrea a scoop of ice cream with chocolate.

Dining @ Felix's Fish Camp

When we went to Mobile, I wanted to eat seafood of course! Years ago, Dave went to Ed's Seafood but we don't know where is the Ed's Seafood now that is why we opted to just ate at Felix's Fish Camp.

The place is big and crowded. We were told that there was a 45minute wait. We didn't mind because the other places has long wait also. Our number were called in less than 45 minutes. The place has a beautiful view of the ocean. We ordered calamari for our appetizer but I was not impressed with it. I told them, I can even cook a better calamari. For our main course, I ordered their batty which includes a garden salad, fish fillet, fried shrimp, fried oyster, brown rice, fried soft-shelled crabs and fried green tomatoes. The best that they have is the soft shelled crabs. I never thought that you can fried them and they are still clustered. I didn't like their fried green tomatoes. The rest of the food is really delicious and of course since that was a big order we had our to go boxes.

Biometrics Appointment Notice

Finally, after almost 2 months of waiting, I got my biometrics appointment notice. It is really annoying why it took so long because I know there were some applicants that sent their application after I sent mine and they have done with their biometrics already.

I always hope that because of the increase fees when filing for immigration papers, they should at least provide a quick and accurate processing. The reason why they increased their fees was to hire more people for speedy processing of the papers and to improve their services, well so far, I don't think their services has been improved!

Anyway, one less to go for my immigration papers. I already included all the supporting evidences when I sent my application for Removal of Conditions on my residency. Hopefully, they wont ask for any RFEs (crossing my fingers!)

My biometrics appointment will be on May 12, 2009 at 3:00PM.

Big Bathroom for our House

Everytime Menmen and I talked about our house which is under construction right now because we added up two additional rooms, we always discuss about how much we love to have a really big bathroom with glass tile. We always wanted a bathroom with enough space for a bathtub and separate shower. A big bathroom with vanity is not very common in our area, but since we are used to big bathrooms with vanities here we wanted to construct one. I know having a bathroom with beautiful glass tiles will really be wonderful.

After visiting Uncle Wayne and Aunt Sarah we went to Dauphin Island. Andrea just love the beach. We were not prepared to go swimming so Andrea was not wearing a swimwear. We just let her play with the sand and the waves.


Andrea loved the swimming pool and she always tries to drink the water. It was so cold when we went for swimming because it was already 9pm yet Andrea didn't mind at all. She kept on giggling.

We are Back!

We are back from our weekend Mobile Trip. We had so much fun and we all had a blast. We were home last night but I didn't have energy to check my blog. I was just so exhausted that I slept and slept and slept.

2nd Night @ Mobile, AL

It is our second night here and we are staying at Hampton Inn, Mobile. We always love to stay in Hampton because their accomodation is always better. Even if they don't have refrigerator and microwave in their room, we still like it better because the room is spacious and they always have very nice bathrooms.

We have been busy today. We were able to visit Uncle Wayne and Aunt Sara. After our visit, we picked up Mischa, then we went to the beach. Andrea just had a blast. We will be back to the beach tomorrow.

We had dinner at Felix's Fish Camp together with Mischa and her boyfriend Ben. After dinner, we went back to the hotel and spend some time together before we decided to end the night and see each other again tomorrow.

We had a great day today and we are all tired ( yet, here I am blogging!). More updates tomorrow!

I feel like I have bloated since I got pregnant. Even after I gave birth to my daughter more than a year ago, the weight that I had gained when I was pregnant is still evident. I really needed to lose some weight. When talking about losing weight, one of the challenges in doing so is my inability to control my love for food. We are on our way to Mobile!

While doing this entry, I am using my laptop while Dave is driving the car. I think I should be thankful that I am using a wireless connection. We have been travelling for the past 3 hours. In a couple of hours we will be in Mobile. This is a last minute decision to leave tonight. Although we have planned on going to Mobile, we didn't plan it to be this weekend. Dave can only make the trip if he does it this weekend because of his work. So, without much prepartion we decided to leave tonight. I usually pack a day or two ahead whenever we go for a trip because there is always so much to pack especially having a baby but for this trip I made a last minute packing which I did in less than 30 minutes... that is a record for me!

Anyway, I will be updating you guys with our Mobile escapades. I can't wait for Andrea to enjoy the beach!

Sometimes, when I don't update my blog, she would call me and tells me that I need to update my blog. In fact, she always gives me a compliment on all my entries.

We are going to Mobile, Alabama

Mobile is located at the junction of the Mobile River and Mobile Bay on the northern Gulf of Mexico. This is the only seaport in the state of Alabama. As one of the Gulf Coast's cultural centers, Mobile houses several art museums, a symphony orchestra, a professional opera, a professional ballet company, and a large concentration of historic architecture. Mobile is known for having the oldest organized Carnival celebrations in the United States, as well as the oldest Carnival mystic society, dating to 1830.

I am so excited to visit and explore Mobile. We will be going there because Dave's daughter, Mischa, lives there. We will be spending some time with Mischa while exploring the place. We hope to stay in the beach that way we all can enjoy it. I am sure Andrea will have fun in the beach. Although going to Mobile is a long drive ( more or less 5 hours from where we live), I am sure it will be worth it.

I need to buy a pair of new Crocs Shoes that I can wear in the beach. I will also be shopping something for Andrea to wear while walking in the beach. I will be checking the Kids Shoes department for shoes that would be best for Andrea's little feet. I want her to wear a comfortable shoes that way she won't have blisters in her feet. I am thinking of what I can buy for Dave. Perhaps I will buy him a pair of Converse Shoes.

I am really getting excited. Finally, we will be able to see Mobile, Alabama in few weeks.

Camping

Two weeks ago, my friend Ging and her family went camping at the highest mountain peak in Alabama the Cheaha Mountain. They had so much fun. They love the place because it has some amenities for their comfort. When we saw each other today, she invited me to join them in their upcoming camping trip in Tallaposa. This sounds really fun. I haven't experienced camping, so I would really love try it. If I decide to join them for camping I need to buy new Camping Gear for all of us.
